Entertainment included:

Cannock Pipe Band

Mini Olympics staged between our two local primary schools:
Havergal Academy (Shareshill) and Featherstone Academy

and Cannock Chase Corps of Drums

The Fly Ball display by members of Lichfield and District Dog Training Society was very popular judging by the cheers and encouragement of the audience.

The last event of the day was the Tug of War competition between

a "scratch team" from Shareshill
and the New Inns pub, Cheslyn Hay.

The New Inns pub triumphed and were quiet (not!) in victory over the Shareshill team which was made up just a few minutes earlier!

The biggest star of the show was undoubtedly Endurance,
a 112 year old Burrell showman's road locomotive.
Originally used as a haulage engine by William Stokes of Basingstoke; then converted to showman's specification in 1933. It was scrapped in 1955.

Len & Jane Crane acquired in 1990 and thoroughly restored by Len, who is sadly no longer with us. It appeared here courtesy of Jane Crane who still owns this magnificent machine.
