The village of Shareshill is located adjacent to the A460 a few miles north-east of Wolverhampton, between two motorway junctions: M6 junction 11 one mile to the north and M54 junction 1 one and a half miles to the south.
Shareshill has a rich history rural setting with a network of rights of way with popular walking routes.

The village has managed to retain it's school, pre-school, pub, shop and church, plus community groups such as the WI and Shareshill Bowling Club.

For many years the village hosted a Steam and Vintage Fayre which attracted vehicle enthusiasts from around the Midlands.

Church Roof Crisis
In July 2022 an inspection revealed the church needs substantial repairs estimated at around £140 000. Donations and fund-raising help desperately needed.

THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to help fund the repairs to the Church roof and building. So far, we have received just over £8000 in donations and a grant of £2500 from Staffordshire Historic Churches Trust. We are grateful to everyone for their generosity.
Shareshill now has 2 defibrillators; one on the outside wall of the village hall, the other by the shop. To access either one in an emergency dial 999 and ask the ambulance service for the code to open the box.
Help to stop "Fly Tipping" on our lanes
Householders can take their domestic and garden rubbish to their local tip/refuse centre FREE of charge. Bulky items can be collected by the council for which there will be a charge Sadly there are a few idiots who prefer to dump on our lanes instead. like this guy found out!

Envirocrime fixed penalty notices have been increased. Fly tipping fines have gone up from £400 to £1000
Householders have a responsibility to ensure their waste is only transferred to an authorised person, ie someone with a waste carriers licence. If you don't check it could cost you the new "duty of care" fixed penalty fine of £600 if traced back to your address.
If you are having garden, drive or landscape work done only employ a firm with an office you can visit. "Cowboy operators" are cheap because they take away your waste and dump it in one of our lanes, often blocking it.
The process for applying for a postal or proxy vote in England is changing; and both have to be renewed every THREE years.
